Physics students learn momentum using Gizmos! program

One of the challenges to teaching Science is managing to perform experiments in a limited laboratory environment.  When I taught Biology, for instance, it was difficult to conduct genetics experiments without breeding dozens of mice.  Gizmos to the rescue!  Gizmos is a program brought to us by Explore Learning that allows students to conduct laboratory experiments that they could not otherwise perform in a classroom.

Mrs. Winkles' Physics students are learning about momentum by adjusting the mass and velocity of gliders on a frictionless air track - all from the convenience of a laptop!
